Constructed at Waialua State Park in 1997, King Kamehameha Statue is one of the most magnificent and impressive in the state. It commemorates the first king of Hawaii, who established in Hilo the seat of government.
Nani Mau Gardens, translated as "forever beautiful", showcase exotic tropical plants and forests, including tropical fruit orchards, rare palms and a beautiful orchid garden.
