Experience Manhattan While Staying at the Wanderers Inn

Recognized as the newest hotel in New York City, the Wanderers Inn is nestled in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, which makes it the closest to the renowned "Museum Mile" of the city. Due to its proximity to all the major attractions on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the Wanderers Inn is extremely popular among tourists who are looking for a new, unique experience in the city. Despite the fact that the hotel is nestled in a quiet location, a great number of services can be found on Third Avenues and Lexington, including a post office, several banks, and a variety of cuisines available in the many restaurants and bars.

High quality service and top amenities has made the Wanderers Inn one of the highest rated hotels in New York City. One of the most widely-known is the Wanderers Inn "West", conveniently located just three blocks from the 110th Street subway station, close to Morning Side Park, Columbia University and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. The hotel has seen a complete renovation of late. All guest rooms are spacious units designed for up to 12 persons, complete with air conditioning in the summer. For protection of its visitors, no guests are allowed in the hotel facilities. Neither food nor smoking is allowed in the rooms. Conversely, the Wanderers Inn Hostel is capable of accommodating groups from 20 to 40 persons; all rooms must be paid prior to arrival. On all major holidays the Wanderers Inn hostel and Wanderers Inn Hotel require a three-night minimum reservation. Accepted are Visa, American Express, Master Card and traveler's checks. There are discount rates of $55 for privates and $24 for dorms including tax. Any change or cancellation must be notified to the hotel at least 24 hours before scheduled arrival, otherwise you will be charged.

Visitors are offered a number of free services, including continental breakfast, starting at 8am in the dining area and featuring muffins with cream cheese, jelly or butter, cereal, milk, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Every Wednesday night visitors are invited to enjoy a Pizza Party, while every Tuesday evening is known as Movie Night. Other services include Internet access, fax service, pre-paid phone cards and laundry facilities. Whenever you need it, the hotel can provide you with an ironing board, hair dryer or plug adapters.

Numerous tours and excursions are organized daily, offering a unique opportunity to experience the genuine way of life of New York City. Within a short distance from the Wanderers Inn "West" visitors can find El Museo Del Barrio, the Studio Museum in Harlem, Tavern on the Green Restaurant, Apollo Theatre, American Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Central Park. Other popular destinations include Times Square, the Empire State Building, Greenwich Village, Ground Zero, Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge and Wall Street, all of which are within a short distance by subway.
