Parc Asterix Paris was opened in 1989 as a replica of the comic books, written by two Frenchmen, Goscinny and Uderzo. It is one of France's top tourist destinations and the most popular theme parks (the second after Euro Disney). Beautifully themed in the Roman and Gaul style, the park offers over fifty rides and attractions for the whole family.

The comic books about "Austerix the Gaul", written by two Frenchmen, Goscinny and Underzo, are known to everyone. The stories are set around 50 BC, when Julius Caesar conquered vast regions of France, but one small village did not surrender to the Romans. The villagers had a magic potion that allowed them always to beat the Romans and one of these renowned villagers was Asterix. A wonderful story is a basis for a wonderful amusement park.
