Eid is a name that is used in reference to two Islamic festivals in Muslim communities: Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fast of Ramadan, and Eid ul-Adha, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim, sacrificing his son to Allah. In Iran, Eid is related to many holidays, including the birthday of Shia Imams, Ghardir Khom and Nowrooz.
