Do not be confused between Gatecrasher Club (the global hard house club institution) and Gatecrasher One. GC1 is a venue, not a club night. On the 2nd September 2003, Gatecrasher Club traditional home, the Republic nightclub was renamed simply "GATECRASHER ONE". As a result of the redesign Gatecrasher One has got 5 distinctive rooms, 4 bars, 3 dancefloors, 3 DJ booths, and a luxuary VIP area. Dramatic and unusual in both design and function, the venue delivers a potentially new and exciting space for a range of activity from private parties and product launches to fashion shows and film shoots. Gatecrasher One is expert at hosting anything from a premiere to a product launch, a buffet to a board meeting, a performance to a press conference.

Actually Gatecrasher in Sheffiled is much more than just a hot club, it is an essential part of British youth culture that is spreading over British boarders. Gatecrasher One forms part of a wider remit at Gatecrasher and is in response to the ever-changing needs and desires of its clubbers both locally from Sheffield and across the UK that have loyally frequented the club and its annual 50,000 capacity festival events each year.
