San Francisco Carnival is California's Largest Annual Multi-Cultural Celebration. Located on Harrison Street, between 16th and 23rd streets, the Carnival Festival will offer food, music, dance, art, crafts and other fun activities and events on several stages for the entire family to enjoy. Themed "Baila Conmigo - Dance With Me," the two-day Festival begins on Saturday, May 28 and culminates with the breathtaking Carnaval Grand Parade on Sunday, May 29. Carnival's Grand Parade is a unique multi-cultural event that celebrates the traditions of many countries and cultures around the world.

The Havana carnival is known the world over for its unique display of creativity in the form of costume, song, dance and steelband music. Carnival celebrations abound in almost all Cuban provinces and towns, some being more traditional than others. Carnival is an allegorical parade of lights and colors, high-pitched and magic sound. As is well known, Cubans are extremely fun-loving, and they can't imagine life without music, dance and fiestas. Carnival has always been a form of collective resistance against the culture of the elites.
