Education and celebration at Sesame Place Theme Park

The Sesame Place Theme Park began a three-acre theme park in 1980 and grew into fourteen acres of playground with a wide array of interactive activities, water attractions, shows, parades and amusement rides. The Sesame Place Theme Park also existed in Dallas, but was closed; hence, the Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, fully enjoys being the only park of this kind with the aim of entertainment, fun and education.

The Sesame Place Theme Park is the Anheuser-Busch theme park, one of nine parks, operated by the Busch Entertainment Corporation. All the parks, including the Busch Gardens Tampa, Orlando SeaWorld and others, are known worldwide for their exceptional and unique theme development, a huge variety of attractions and rides, high quality interactive shows, spectacular events and educational programs.

The Sesame Place Theme Park provides a place for celebrations, fun and education. Children, visiting the park, are playing, learning and growing, as the Sesame Place Theme Park offers many challenges for the kids' discovery, wonder and imagination. Since 1980 guests have enjoyed three thousand and five hundred performances of Elmo's World Live, two hundred and fifty thousand journeys on Vapor Trail and more than five hundred thousand blooming flowers throughout the park.

What is for fun and education? The Sesame Place Theme Park presents scouting programs and invites children to spend a day or several days, filled with fun and action. Scouting programs include meeting with the Sesame Street Characters, participating in craft and dance workshops, watching theater performances and visiting selected attractions.

The Cookie Monster "Me Love Talented Kids" Weekend is a special performance, featuring talented kids throughout the day. The Sesame Place Theme Park invites talented singers, dancers, bands, choirs or other performing kid's groups to join in the fun and display their talent.

Moreover, the educators at the Sesame Workshop have worked out a range of exciting programs to challenge children to think "out of the box" through actually unique learning experiences. Interactive activities are combined with problem solving skills to enlarge the children's experience of the park, while inspiring their desire to learn.

For instance, the "Mystery, Math and Monsters" is an interactive educational program, developing multiple-logical reasoning and math skills, while kids have much fun in exploring the entire park, using a map, solving problems and searching clues. The Hot Off the Press is a wonderful educational program, inspiring kids to become Sesame Place reporters and describe their experiences in their own newspaper. The Sesame Place Preschool Adventures is an adventurous educational program, specially designed for preschool groups. Leaders are provided with a booklet, containing activity cards that specify a number of rich activities using letters, shapes, music and more. The activity cards can be used before, during, and after the park visit to enrich the experience of the little ones.

Certainly, the Sesame Place is perfect for any celebration, birthday or party. Each year hundreds of children celebrate their birthdays with parties at the Sesame Place, and on July, 20, 1994, one baby was even born in the park.

The "Party Packages" at the Sesame Place Theme Park combine education with entertainment, various meals and gifts, special shows and meeting and greeting with Sesame Place loveable characters. Unforgettable memories and a one-of-the-kind experience are guaranteed.
