Added: 02/02/2006

Have your friend told you how wonderfully he spent time in London and you want to repeat his experience? Or have your boss offered you a business trip? No matter what facts inspired you to dream about London travel, you will not be disappointed. If only you have a thought that it may be interesting, London can give you all reasons not to left your journey in thoughts and pipe dreams.

London. These banal six sounds hide in their meaning a very non-boring place actually. Your London travel can consist of sightseeing or shopping or business-deals or visiting best theaters and nightclubs. You will get wonderful impressions anyway.

So, from what can you start your explorations? If you are a beginner, it is better to choose the most popular variant: to book a survey-bus tour and guides will quickly and enthrallingly (and for determined payment) acquaint you with this powerful city. If you have a desire to follow your own route, nobody forbids it, but it is not useless to visit British Tourist Center (Regent Street, 12) at first, just do not drawn in the sea of information there. However, some destinations can be suggested for any London travel.  Of course, it is the Tower, which is covered with stories and legends, which was a castle, a palace and a prison and nowadays is an enormous museum. Of course, it is the Westminster Abbey (the interior: more than 100 kinds of marble, the alabaster statue of The Virgin and other and other...)

Of course, you will not go by the Parliament, the Big Ben, and the Albert Hall. Moreover, the changing of guard in the Buckingham Palace (every day 11.30) is something that it is worth to see in your life. Furthermore, without fail, lyrical thoughts and thrilling feelings will possess you when you see London under your feet from the height of London Eye or from the top of the NatWest tower in City.

Then, after enjoying the view and the freedom-emotion, come to see the Tate Gallery, or the Museum of Madam Tussaud, or the Globe if you have never been there or if you just miss these buildings. Do not left without the attention beautiful London parks, their cozy splendor will charm you, especially in autumn, when trees flame with thousands tints of red. London Dungeon is something in the middle between a museum and a theater. Perfect fear is guaranteed.

Entirely different atmosphere is on board of the cruiser of Her Majesty "Belfast", moored just in front of the Tower. Wax figures, audio records, roar of wind and waves, and many nice trifles let you to find yourself in the realness of voyage.  Another thing that is connected with ?big water? is famous docks, now it is area of office buildings and dwelling houses; besides, it is interesting to see Millennium Dome placed here.

London travel can give positive mood not only to you, but also to your children as well. London Zoo and the Museum of Toys always say "Welcome" to young (and adult) visitors. In addition, universal museum cards Heritage Pass are nice and useful thing for those, who are planning great marches to the museums.

Nevertheless, like every city, London has some areas that are not very hospitable to travelers, so they should avoid them, especially at nights: black area in Bloomsbury, at King's Cross railway station and Arabian blocks in the west of the city.  In conclusion, to start your London tour you must have a kind of fulcrum there.

When speaking about London hotel deals, the following shelters are recommended:
The Ritz*****de luxe is the best one;
The Dorchester *****de luxe and The Savoy ***** de luxe are very prestige hotels;
The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park *****de luxe - if you like oriental style;
The Lanesborough ***** is perfect choice for alone-traveling businessmen;
The Berkeley ***** is a wonderful hotel with popular bar;
The Halkin ***** is just a stylish hotel of high-class.
