Develop your cooking skills while making Neufchatel cheese

Before making Neufchatel cheese you are to choose the right recipe, which will suit you most.  Some of them require only milk and rennet, for others you will be to find special cultures for adding to the product.

The process of making Neufchatel cheese does not take much time.  The milk coagulation lasts about 36 hours, then pressing and draining processes take about 24 hours.  After short maturing on shelves the cheese is to be kept aging in cellars for about 10 days. 

Then you get a wonderful product, which may be used as an independent snack and as a component to your favorite dish.
As for ingredients, the most common recipe of making Neufchatel cheese says that you will need about 1 gallon of fresh whole milk, a quarter cup of cultured buttermilk and nearly a quarter cup of rennet to make 1 to 1.5 pounds of cheese.

A minimum efforts - and you have a perfect dish to surprise all your family with your new culinary skills.  Besides, you may even develop this manufacture some time later and become a rather well-known cheese maker in your country.  Cheese is not only a wonderful snack, a perfect match to each course, but also a very good chance to create and develop your own business - thus, a Neufchatel cheese recipe may become a ticket to success.
