Spanning several terraces that cover some 1,7 acres, Villa Jovis is a Roman palace built by Emperor Tiberius during the period of 27-37AD, and is recognized as the largest of the twelve Tiberian villas on the Italian Island of Capri. Nestled atop Monte Tiberio, in the northeast of the island, the Villa with its 335m in elevation is regarded as one of the highest peaks at Capri, second only to Monte Solaro in Anacapri.
