Related to the events of June 6, 1944, known ever since as D-Day, Omaha Beach is the Allied codename of one of the major landing points during the Normandy landings in 1944. Its is nearly 3.5 miles long, stretching from Sainte Honorine des Pertes to Vieville sur Mer.
