When you talk about San Diego, you think big hotels with big price tags. There are smaller hotels, that you hope are still nice even though their prices tags are one-third that of the larger sites.
The Days Inn San Diego hotel is one link from the Days Inn hotel chain. The most luxury one is the Days Inn North Bergen, which is a 250-room hotel within minutes of Times Square. It has received a Five Sunburst Rating from Days Inn, which is their highest rating for the Days Inn Chain.
The Days Inn San Diego is the smaller one in the family. It is located approximately half a mile from the Gas Lamp District and two miles from San Diego International Airport. Within one mile are Balboa Park, San Diego Bay, San Diego Zoo, Horton Plaza Center, and Maritime Museum. Old Town and Coronado Island are three miles away, Sea World is six miles, and Tijuana is twelve miles from the hotel. The Days Inn San Diego is only four miles from the Mexican border.
Like a breath of fresh air you will enjoy all the comforting Days Inn has to offer. So, all in all, the Days Inn San Diego is a nice place, not incredibly luxurious (so don't take your new wife there for your honeymoon) but you will pleasantly surprised. Enjoy your stay but don't expect the Hilton/Marriott/Radisson, just expect a nice little hotel for the good price.
