Le Comte Company was founded in 1954 as the U.S. sales office for the Dutch builder, Le Comte-Holland, B.V. Andy Wiggers, the company founder, born in Groenlo, Holland in 1950, was the youngest of eleven children. The company was born almost 40 years ago in a corner of the British Leland assembly plant in San Jose, Costa Rica, through a yachtsman's love for boating.
