Improvements totaling 66 million dollars have taken place over the summer to make Copper Mountain even better. Colorado's first high-speed detachable six-passenger chairlift - dubbed the "Super Bee" has replaced the former "B" and "B-1" double chairlifts.
Copper's brand new high-speed detachable quad chairlift will be called "The Excelerator." The Excelerator replaces the former "E" lift, servicing intermediate and advanced terrain in the upper center of Copper Mountain.
Some improvements are going to be made. New snowmaking will cover an additional 110 acres on the east side of the mountain. The new snowmaking system will guarantee top-to-bottom skiing accessed by the new Super Bee high-speed six-person chairlift and the American Eagle/ Excelerator high-speed quad chairlifts.
