On the kilometers of coastline all over the world there hundreds of coastal cottages are being offered. For a certain sum of money you get a house of your dream on the seaside, with a beautiful view on the horizon, where in the very short terms you and your family would feel totally renovated and reborn.
By the way coastal cottages aren't only ideal for family vacations - they are also the perfect romantic getaway, very private, very beautiful.
Privacy is one very special thing about the beachfront cottages. Of course you may search for one with some noisy neighborhoods, but mostly people renting a cottage are seeking for some sort of isolation, not total of course - there always somewhere nearby some sort of a nice coastal town with it's downtown attraction, so if you get a little bit too much isolated, you may always drive there and have you portion of civilization amenities. But the point is that you are going to the seaside to get rid of any civilization at all.
Best variant for coastal cottages is when they are situated on a few hundreds acres of privately owned land or at least on the territory of some national park. So you rent not only a cottage but also a private beach and a forest of your own for hiking - your bit of perfect tranquility.
Very often there's not only the seacoast but either some rivers running to the sea and some forest lakes nearby. So you can even rent a cottage on the bank of a lake which will be also few minutes away from the seaside. And this is not a fantasie, it's a real possibility.
Certainly nobody forces you to get deep in the forest for your vacation. Coastal cottages are either quite available in some resort area. Staying there will be very much like staying in some hotel suite. Of course this will be an apartment of your own but this will be a sort of a luxury resort vacations and nothing more.
And of course getting away in the woods and on the seaside doesn't mean rejecting all the amenities at all. Some of the coastal cottages are new-built, but some might have been built centuries ago - yet this doesn't mean that you'll be enjoying sea sunsets in the midst of some ancient ruins. These cottages of the Victorian epoch have the stylish antique look but the very modern comfort. Old and new - both they usually have enough space to accommodate from two to five people. Often there's one king size bed, probably a room with twin beds, sometimes a coach or a sofa that sleeps two people, sometimes there are mattresses able to play the role of bed.
In some cottages each of the bedrooms has it's private bathroom. Plus of cause every cottages has a well-equipped kitchen, one or two TV-sets, VHS and/or DVD-player and some other amenities without which no one sees one's life nowadays.
Mind that to rent a cottage in the top of the summer season or during any holidays - just like most of all vacation accommodation - will cost you more when in winter for example. Plus there are certain minimum terms which limit not less how many days you rent coastal cottages. And once again off the hot tourist season these terms grow less.
