Living or just staying in Las Vegas or Monaco or any other gambling capital of the world? Isn't it a dream of so many. People come there in their hunt of the luck, fortune and let's say it straight money. They come to try themselves in game and to win. In fact no so very many really do win, but they still can try.
But one might look at this crazy dream of Las Vegas from another point of view. Perhaps some would like to own a casino or even a whole chain of them. Lovely idea, yet not much of realistic. Still you can come to Vegas not to gamble, to waste all your money and then to leave with nothing, you may come to live and to work here. And the most obvious place in Vegas to work are casinos. The fact is that they are so plenty all over the world, and they do need a huge staff to keep functioning that you won't have much problems with finding yourself one of the casino jobs. You won't even need much experience to start your casino career.
There are much more casino jobs and positions when one might think there are. What are the first casino jobs one can name. First will be the owner though it's not a profession it's a vocation, second will probably be the manager - the guy who deals will all the problems and then of cause will be the croupiers or dealers. Plus one might add to this short list the security guards.
Let's start with the dealers, they are poker dealers, roulette dealers, craps dealers and so on - you may continue with all the gambling games you know. Some of them deal with the only game they're specialized in, like poker dealer for example. But they are only the top of the iceberg. On the same level with the dealers there are various writers and clerks. Yet though dealers are plenty there are a lot of people who're watching after them and staying in charge of them. They are box men, floor men, pit bosses, shift bosses. The last ones are responsible before the manager.
And yet it's only the beginning of the casino jobs list. Every casino has a cashier and not the only one probably, except for all the gambling floors it has a slot floor, and there people are needed too - so there work the slot floor men. Plus casino isn't a place there people come only to gable, no, they come there to hang out, to have nice time so there's always a bar or a restaurant or both Also in most casinos you'll find show rooms and rest rooms. So they need bartenders, waitresses and other attendants to serve customers. These people are casino staff either. Yes, and at every front door there's a porter.
But these are the casino jobs that we can see with our eyes, still there's many more that stay beyond our vision, but yet they are necessary to keep this money flood running smoothly. These people are counting the income and outcome and checking it. Other people from the security are sitting in front of the screens making sure that everything is in order in every part of the building.
This is how in general the whole system works. So coming to Vegas don't bother about finding a job - casino employment will give you both a sweet income without taking risks and will make you a sort of an insider, you'll be able to learn how this all functions. And if after you know it all from the inside you'll still crave for gambling - then go on, all the money you've earned at the casino you may leave in the casino.
