Cancun and La Boom Club thereLa Boom Club in Cancun is one of the hottest and most popular places in the area. If you are going to spend your vacations in Cancun you should know beforehand about La Boom Club to decide wether to visit it or not even have in mind to spend a night there. I will explain you why. But let me start the story from the very begining.
Firstly, what is Cancun? Nowadays it is Mexico's premier tourist destination, attracting 2.7 million visitors every year from all over the world. It was born in 1970s when Mexico's tourism planners decided that a deserted sand spit on the Yucatan peninsula close to the small fishing village of Puerto Juarez was the ideal location for a major tourist mecca and they set about building a brand new world class resort. Cancun has two distinct areas each with their own character and particular attractions. The Hotel Zone caters purely for tourists with over 100 hotels and it is here that most of the major themed restaurants, bars and nightclubs are found. The Hotel Zone is shaped like a 7 extending from the mainland 9km eastward and then 14km southward. Some people are surprised to learn that the Hotel Zone is in fact an island, joined to the mainland at the western end by a bridge leading to Ciudad Cancun (City of Cancun) often referred to as 'downtown' and at the southern end by a bridge leading to the international airport. Thirty years ago the island had a population of just 3 - workers who tended a coconut plantation!
Along the North beach you will find many attractions, including Captain Hook or famous La Boom Club. You will also find Embarcadero de Playa Linda (Playa Linda Dock), where a huge panoramic tower and a museum of typical Mexican handicrafts are. Along Playa Tortugas you will see spring-break-classic Fat Tuesday, throwing legendary parties every night. Playa Langosta is a little further and besides a nice beach you will find a dock offering boat rides to Isla Mujeres. Of course, you will find a lot of hotels the Pok ta Pok Golf course along the way. Closer to Punta Cancun, you will find a supermarket for your convenience.
In one word you will not get bored in Cancun. La Boom Club, located at the entrance of the Hotel Zone, has become a tradition there. You will enjoy spectacular light show and techno-house music all night long. One of the roomsof La Boom Club has two floors, it plays Hip Hop all night. The other room is dedicated to techno and house. Top sound system, multilevel dance floor, several bars and fantastic light show, this is probably the trendiest club in Cancun
I would say that La Boom Club in Mexico as well as in other counties is rather for young who dance all the night and can bear loud music. Specialising in techno, house and the latest dance music the club's dance floor is split level, the open bar is definitely recommended - good service, strong drinks and close to the action unlike some of the other clubs in Cancun. La Boom Club has theme nights every night of the week, including 'Male Hot Body' on Wednesdays and the famous 'Bikini Contest' on Fridays.
Besides La Boom Club, you may also spend a hot night in Coco Bongo, Senor Frogs, The City, and Bulldog Cafe.
