At last, after day-by-day working and busy city life you are ready for beach vacation getaway! However, take in mind that vacation atmosphere of beaches may be very different, think what exactly you want to have during your summer rest not to get disappointed afterwards.

If you prefer busy life of beach towns, communication with residents and other tourists, immerge into cultural and nature life of this or that country or island, think about staying in hotel or rentals. The most modern, and by far the most visited, tourist resorts are characterized by rows of resort hotels and beautiful beaches, where the sand is particularly fine and brilliantly white due to its coral origin. Such resorts have many hotels and vacation rentals reside behind the brown-sand beach, hidden in between the palms. Accommodations may run from very cheap rentals to 5 star resorts. Belize has all these options and below you will find three most popular spots in Belize for beach vacations!

Caye Caulker. Close your eyes and picture an idyllic tropical island with white sand beaches, blue-green water, palm trees rustling overhead in the warm breeze and a very laid back attitude. That's Caye Caulker. Caye Caulker is situated 21 miles northeast of Belize City and 11 miles south of Ambergris Caye and is the second largest of the approximately 200 small islands located off the coast of Belize. Caye Caulker, one half mile wide and less than five miles long, is also the second most populous of the Belizean cayes with about 1,200 full-time residents.

Placencia Peninsula. Sixteen mile long Placencia Peninsula is home to 3 communities: Maya Beach, Seine Bight, and at the southern tip, Placencia Village, with a claim to the best beaches on the mainland. You can arrive in Placencia by air or by road. If you have the time, no matter which direction you travel from, driving is interesting and scenic.  Things to do in Placencia Peninsula
· Scuba -  Experience the walls and canyons found in 60-80 feet of water. Instruction and resort courses offered.
· Snorkel - (Laughing Bird 10 miles) (Silk Caye & Reef 18 miles) or rent a kayak and snorkel nearby Placencia Caye.
· Sport Fishing - Inside or outside the reef. Placencia is well known for it's Salt water fly fishing.
· Kayak - Placencia Lagoon or nearby Placencia Caye.
· Biking - Experience the peninsula and nearby communities between Maya Beach and Placencia.
Ambergris Caye. Belize's spectacular Barrier Reef, with its dazzling variety of underwater life and string of exquisite islands known as cayes (pronounced "keys") is the main attraction for most first-time visitors to this Caribbean nation. The most northerly and largest of the 200-plus cayes located off the coast of Belize is Ambergris Caye. Today Ambergris Caye is a world class destination for Diving.
Ambergris Caye also offers a variety of Water Sport activities from snorkeling to windsurfing, sailing, fishing, parasailing, jet-skiing even glass bottom boat tours. If you enjoy Nature, there's a new national park at the north end of the island called Bacalar Chico. The entire area is a protected sanctuary for mangroves, birds and sea life. "Manatee Watches" are a popular option. You can also rent a bike and cross the pull ferry and travel north along the beach for several miles.
