The plane can take off only when a dispatch release is signed. This release is an official document. And to prepare one an airline dispatcher has to consider lot's of things. At first there are some governmental and commercial airline company prescriptions, regulations and rules which you can't leave aside. First he/she checks the weather forecast, plans the most safe and economical route of flight. Than calculate the necessary amount of fuel minding the weather conditions, the type of flying transport, the rout and the necessary fuel minimum.

Also an airline dispatcher plans the maximum possible weight on board, the weather all along the route way and the area of landing. All these things and other information forms the flight plan, the one to be signed to let the plane depart. Of course there still are the situations when an airline dispatcher has done his/her work and released all the recommendation but yet it's up to the captain of the flying crew to decide whether to fly or not to fly according to his experience, knowledge and inner feelings. Yet this is an extra situation.

And of course it's not a sort of a paper work - dispatchers are the people that make decisions whether to delay the flight or let it depart, they are the central section of the airport life, they are the unit that coordinates all the services, gathers and processes all the information.

A part of that information is released for the passengers and traveling public, a part is shared within an airline company and of course amount the other airports.
