A healthy glow with airbrush tan

Added: 01/22/2006

Just like a natural suntan, the airbrush tan results are temporary, this outer layer of skin is continuously "sloughing" off. Airbrush tanning is a relatively new process in the application of DHA infused solutions. The solution is applied with the use of a low-pressure airbrush gun, which allows for more even coverage than hand application. The advantage is that you can use a fake tan on specific areas.

Airbrush tan is the newest phase in application of self-tanning products. Unlike the previous products that would turn everything around you and you yourself orange, the bronzers available today are very natural looking, made from a variety of vegetable extracts, and are completely harmless.

These solutions include Dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, which works by reacting with the keratin protein in the top, (or dead) layer of your skin.

Today you can get a sunless tan even if you can't get a real tan.  Sunless tanner doesn't need your melanocytes to be in working order. Dihydroxyacetone [DHA], the active ingredient in sunless tanners, saturates the dead skin cells in the outermost layer of skin, where it turns the protein in the dead cells brown.

Sunless tans are completely safe.  Back in the 1970s, the FDA added DHA to its list of safe cosmetic ingredients, and there it remains. Unfortunately, the belief that sunless tanners are hazardous is not uncommon, possibly due to confusion with tanning pills containing beta carotene or canthaxanthin, which were banned by the FDA many years ago.

The advantage is that you can use a fake tan on specific areas. A sunless tanner can add a glow to just your face, just your legs, just your...well, you get the picture.

How is this method different from spray tanning booths? Airbrush tan uses the same basic type of solution used in spray booths; however, airbrush tan allows for a more personalized and precise application of the solution. You can add more solution to areas where the sun would naturally, such as the bridge of the nose, cheekbones, and shoulders.

Because the tanning solution is applied by your own personal technician, there will be no "missed" spots or uneven areas that can occur otherwise, as solution application is monitored and controlled per each individual.

If instant results aren't what you're after, ask about clear solutions from "No fry zone", for instance, and you`ll get clearly superb results.
At no fry zone, they offer a range of beautiful colors to give you an instant tan.

However, sometimes this instant gratification can cause instant frustration when it comes to pale colored clothing, sheets, furniture, etc. To combat this issue, they offer clear solutions that contain no instant bronzers. You won't see any color change immediately following your session, but your tan will develop within the following eight hours and you will enjoy the  same results as if you had been sprayed with a solution containing instant bronzer.

By the way, No fry zone strongly recommends all brides and bridal parties whose formal wear is light in color utilize their clear solutions. While there will not be any solution "rub - off" on the outside of your gown, after an afternoon of celebration, the inside may be a different story!
