25 Random Things to Know about Jay "The Funologist"

1) Born in Germany, grew up for the most part, an Army Brat which had me living in Germany, New Brunswick and Graduating in Nova Scotia
2) During High School, I caught the Military Service Bug early by Joining the Canadian Forces Reserves and served as an Infantry Corporal where I shot competitively as Marksman with the 1 NSH (N)
3) Upon graduating I entered into the Canadian Forces and served as an Airborne Artillery Paratrooper and wore the distinct Maroon Beret, Jump Boots and Silver Jump Wings on my chest.
4) My Love for Hockey during my High School years playing Triple AAA Hockey for the Fundy Blueberry Kings was again realized in the Military as I was selected from our Regimental Hockey Team ( 2RCHA Gunners ) to play for the CFB Petawawa Stags where we would take the Silver Medal at the Army National Hockey Championship in Germany.
5) The thrill of playing at the Highest Level in Military Hockey paled in comparison to the that of knowing that I would be playing during this Championship at the Arrowhead Arena, where ironically I learned to Skate for the first time over a decade earlier.
6) Upon leaving the Canadian Forces I would spend a short time in our Nation's Capital ( Ottawa ) before leaving for BC Canada where I reside now
7) It is here in BC Canada where I would find the "Love of my Life" and settle down the best a Nomadian Spirit can :)
8) It wasn't long before I knew that this Province was my kinda Province and would become my choice to "Hang my Hat"
9) Some would call me a Workaholic but I ask you, "Is following your Dreams and Passions really working?"
10) I've always been Involved in Sports and Fitness so the Transition into the Health Field was Easy. I became intrigued by Innovative Health Products such as Far Infrared Saunas, Alkalizing Water Ionizers, Vibrational Fitness Core Exercising Platforms and after weeding out the "Knock-offs", I partnered with what I feel is the Best of the Best and created a Site Featuring them at http://www.StealsDealsandOpportunities.com
11) The Site and the Products took off and before I knew it, I had Health Care Professionals recommending the Products I offered to Clients North America wide.
12) My Attention to Detail when it comes to Researching became my Passion and with it, Success.
13) Being of European Birth, I've always held a Warm Spot in my heart for European Cars, I spent 5 years as a Service Advisor/ Asst. Mgr at Volkswagen/Audi because of it but would later find myself a Huge Fan of Saturn Automobiles because of their "Price Fairness - No Haggle/No Hassle Policy" and so to this day, I am a Proud Saturn Owner and a Sales Consultant/ Product Specialist with our BC Saturn Team. 14) I never had children out of choice, never felt it fair because of my passion for Travel and Adventure. Having said that, kids are great! I was more of a Dog person though, had two and will most assuredly have more some day, but after losing the last one "Wriggley" my heart just hasn't healed up just yet to replace her.
15) I was nicknamed "The Funologist" by my peers in the late 1990's because of my "Zest" for all things Fun and I felt compelled to inject Fun into everything I did and still do.
16) I am an Extremely Positive Personality and Avoid Negativity and Negative and Sarcastic Personalities like the Plague - to me it's all About Energy we Send out = the Energy we Receive.
17) I Embrace Failure in order to Learn, I Celebrate Success like no one I know but I Practice Humility always and enjoy Learning from others that Inspire me.

19) I Fear Nothing and View everything as "A Learning Experience" in my Life. Regrets.....None :)
20) My most pride filled moment? Earning my Silver Paratrooper Wings, Maroon Beret and Jump Boots with the Canadian Forces Airborne, not bad for a guy that Hates Heights!
21) I Eat Healthy but when I Slide it's for food like: Panago Pesto Pizzas, Chocolate, Fudge, Licorice Icecream, Cheese Puffs :) ( Good thing I have Self Control or I'd be 400 lbs :)

23) I'm currently looking forward to a Trip back to Nova Scotia where my EAST COAST Simons Family resides ( until I get them convinced to come join me :) )

Well I recommend my personal Favorites: Whistler Blackcomb Skiing, Deep Cove kayaking ( North Shore ), Roller Blading Stanley Park, Richmond Airport Dyke Evening Romantic Walk, Speed Boating Harrison Hot Springs, Mountain Climbing the Grouse Grind in Squamish, Bungy Jumping in Nanaimo just to name a few :)
25) Last but Not Least, I thank all of my Old Friends for their Love and Support and Look Forward to meeting New Inspiring, Adventurous and Positive Friends in the years to come.
