Your personal gift guide

Every year we face the same continuous round of events: Christmas, New Year, birthdays of children, friends, and colleagues, anniversary of wedding, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, etc. How to stop thinking about holidays with horror and meet them fully armed with gifts?

Good advice is to have your personal gift guide. The very first point to mention in it is the holiday itself, the second one - the person who receives the gift from you. Here is the point of departure to start turning over all possible variants in your mind. It is recommended to write down immediately all your gift ideas, composing a kind of a gift list. You can also read special literature, books and booklets about traditional gifts and usual gifts for this or that holiday.

When your gift list is completed, and consists of, at least, several gift items, begin to select the best one. Trying to find a gift for your relatives, it's important to be ensure that she/he did not receive the same gift last year (probably, you have already gave him this splendid bright clasp-knife!).

Next point is choosing the right store to buy the best gift among those you expected to buy.  Try to avoid changing your mind directly in the store, having decided, for example, that this plaid would be much better a present for your wife, than that new perfume.

When you have at last found the appropriate gift, you are likely to doubt a preferable color. Recall distinctly the presentee's appearance, his/her favorite colors and the ones, dominating in his/her clothes or apartment interior. Imagine your gift in the presentee's hands. Sometimes, such a picture may help to sort the things out. Presentee's relatives or friends may also give you a good piece of advice.

Sticking to all the points mentioned you will solve a problem of selecting a gift with great ease.
