Tips to meet your soul mate- Go to the gym during your lunch hour. Many professionals do this. Vary your lunch hour to see when the most singles are out there.
- Volunteer at a crisis center or for a charity event. You'll meet other people and build up your self-esteem by being useful.
- Take a camera and ask a good-looking stranger to take your picture. See what happens.
- Call long-lost classmates or attend a school reunion. Who knows what it may lead to? The childhood friendship might develop into a relationship or you might be introduced to other eligible singles.
- Get a part-time job at any business related to weddings (photographers, bridal stores, catering). With all the love in the air, you can't help but feel romantic. And it never hurts to get to know the best man or bridesmaid.
- Send a drink to a cute stranger in a bar or restaurant.
- Volunteer to organize parties or social activities at your condo or apartment building. It's a great way to get to know your neighbors.
- Ask questions and opinions of other singles when you are in a store.
- Vote in every election. Lots of people gather around the polling places, from candidates to reporters. You never know whom you will meet.
- Keep your eyes open when you are out. Ask for directions or help someone who seems to get lost. Don't miss a chance to mingle with people.
- Become an outdoor type. Jog, walk a dog, or walk a few blocks rather than driving – you might spot some attractive single people doing the same.
- Join a dance class. You will be paired off with a partner. Or invite your cute neighbor or co-worker to take the class with you.
- Get your hair done at a coed salon. Get to know the patrons. Ask your stylist if she has any clients who would be a match for you.
- On a rainy day, instead of staying home, get out with an umbrella and offer to share it with a stranger you like.
- Find a job overseas. You might meet the love of your life the day before you leave. And even if you don't, you will have a chance to broaden your horizons, learn a foreign language and meet an attractive foreigner.
