Surprise partyYour friend is having a birthday soon, has just been promoted at the company he/she works for, got some professional award etc.

Or probably one is depressed about his birthday and doesn't see it as a holiday anyway.
But you have a different vision of the situation. You think that your friend's been working or trouble a lot and definitely needs a good holiday. Well if you are so full of enthusiasm and energy ' and it will demand a lot of energy for sure ' make a surprise party for you dear friend. Everyone loves pleasant surprises. Make it one.
Choose the place. The popular variant is organizing a party at friends place. First of all you have to get the access to the keys or get the ones your friend is sharing apartment with into your aliens.
If he/she lives alone make sure that he/she won't get furious about the fact that someone has played a host at one's apartment. Be careful about all the stuff at your friend's place, spoil, break, through away as little as you can. Also you'll have to be very quick getting everything done. Try to make all or the most guests come earlier than the honor guest. Another variant is to celebrate at a restaurant, a cafe or at the apartment of your common friends. To make it a surprise choose a please that your friend is get used to. Invite him/her to have a cup of coffee with you or to come to see on of your mates. Remember that the less suspicious it all will look the greater the surprise will be.
One more good place for a surprise birthday party is the parent's house. You'll have much time and much space for all the preparation. Either you can be quite sure that the honor guest won't change his/her mind at the last moment ' because parents are parents.
Probably you will face a lot of problems trying to make surprise party exactly on the date of the birthday. By the way in his/her birthday one will start to suspect something anyway when you will be pulling him/her persistently to visit any place. To make it a real surprise choose a day a little after the actual date. Study your friend's schedule, find out when he/she will be less occupied and less exhausted after the job. Make sure that one doesn't have any other plans for that day, but try to conceal all the curiosity of that type or your behavior may start speaking louder than words.
Warn all the other guests beforehand of course, get some of them to help you to decorate and get everything ready on time.
One more variant of making a surprise is when you take your friend away for a walk or a dinner while your assistant get everything ready at friend's place.
Surprise ought to be perfect so plan everything carefully. Don't forget that party only starts with the yells 'happy birthday', and a cake with candles, after it all there must be something to continue with. It's all still stays a party with food, drinks and funny competitions.
Tell all your guests not to park their cars near the house or at the restaurant parking. The same thing with shoes and coats. The heaps of them in the hall will make your friend guess about everything.
By the way your surprise will look even more original when the guests don't appear from wardrobes and dark room with the happy yell but when they calmly walk in as if nothing's happening.
Still mind that sometimes when people say they don't want to celebrate their birthday ' the really don't.
