How to make a good party? How to organize a party that would leave all the guests and the hosts of the party pleased and satisfied

How to make a good party? How to organize a party that would leave all the guests and the hosts of the party pleased and satisfied.

Many of us have had in our lives the unpleasant experiences of visiting a dull or a  badly planned party, and probably the most unpleasant such a party stays for those who organized it because they feel the responsibility for all that went wrong. So how to make everything go right?

Start planning your party beforehand. Even if you are waiting a couple of friends to visit you for a half an hour and a cup of ' try to plan everything not in the last hour or after the door-bell have ringed you may find out that you had bought a delicious cake but had run out of tea. And of course if you are going to have a bigger party with more guests, drinks and food try to start planning a few days or better a week earlier.

Make lists. Make lists of guests, of  drinks, of  food, of any other party supplying goods. Put those lists on the kitchen table, or glue them on your refrigerator '  whatever ' but when a new party idea comes to you or when you remember something you have to buy than list has to be at hand. Don't try to keep it all in your memory. Usually there are always some things that are left forgotten and find it out in the middle of having fun ' that can be a very nasty thing.

Pay special attention to the list of guests. If you are planning a great banquette or jubilee and want to invite all the people you know ' then that's all right, among all these different people everyone will find a good company for him/her. Otherwise mind the interests, profession, age, social rank, the style of life of people you invite, mind if everyone knows each other, or the part of guests knows the other part of guests. The mission of any host is not only to feed their guests  but to offer them a good company and make them feel comfortable. You may know al your guests and dearly love them all but won't be able to pay much attention to each of them. By the way make sure that some of those whom you haven't invited but who would  think that you should have done it, won't learn about your party. It will be unpleasant both for you and for them.

While planning the amount of drinks, snacks ant etc add a little more to it to leave in store for the occasion of some guests coming without invitation or for the those who refused to come but changed their minds. It's of course their guilt that they haven't warned you but it your business to find them a seat and a drink.

Planing your party most accurate calculations you should make on the drinks. The rule number one is that there has to be enough of them. The numerical superiority should be probably given to beer. One, two or more packages ' it's up to you to decide. The next position is given to wine. The beer can be all of one kind but in wind the diversity will be better. There always will find the lovers dry red, dry white and all types of dessert wines. The amount ' probably more than three bottles, mind that during a long holiday dinner with free and more changes of plates each drinking guest drinks about a half of a bottle. Strong drinks are the fewest of all others but yet should be present. If you are a great cocktail-maker then planning a party check beforehand that all the ingredients of your honored cocktails are still present in your bar.

Plan some snacks. It can be either nuts, cheese, vegetables, salads, sandwiches or anything else, so that the guest waiting for a delicious main plate won't get too hungry of waiting. But yet don't make them wait to long otherwise they'll get fed with all the snacks and won't be able to value your culinary talents properly.

Even if you aren't planning a dinner but some kind of a cocktail party still make sure that your guests aren't only drinking enough but have snatched some snacks ' it will probably save them from the headache and other unpleasant symptoms next morning. By the way prepare all the bed-clothing and the towels for the guests who are going to stay for the night, for the others prepare a list of taxi phone-numbers.

And the last thing about a planning good party ' it's  you being democratically. Find out some special habits and tastes of your guests beforehand. Prepare some salads and fish for vegetarians, tasty non-alcoholic drinks for non-drinkers and drivers, yogurt cake for those who are on diet and etc. Remember that the comfort and good mood of your guests is your comfort and good mood.
