Movies aren't only watched, they are talked about too, both good and bad. What for do we take our friends with us to cinemas or invite them to watch a DVD on our home theater? To share a good movie? No! To have someone to listen to all your commenting on that movie.

We read reviews both before and afterwards we see a new masterpiece of cinematography. Before ' to know whether it's worth being watched, afterwards ' to see what others think of a movie we either specially liked or disliked.

Imagine you're holding a VHS cassette or DVD you know nothing about. What do you see? Well the name of a movie, a picture on the cover, the names of actors and director. Else there you can usually read a short announce on the back side of the cover and learn about the genre. Is that information enough for you to decide to watch that movie. Probably you've been told by a friend of yours that this movie is on of the 'must have' or 'must watch'. But this means you've already heard from him/her a kind of an oral review.

But what if you have just no one beside you to tell about the movie. You may be a fan of the genre, the director or one of the actors but that's a different case. The question is what to do if know absolutely nothing about the movie. Well you may risk and just watch it. But this could be a waste of your precious your time and money.

Read a review. Where to get one? Everywhere,  absolutely everywhere. One source of information are TV-shows about movies and movie magazines. TV-reviews are good because they show some scenes from the movie that is helpful for you. But those TV-reviews come out only once or twice per week and not on the prime-time. So it's a very casual source of movie reviews.

A magazine about movies you can read any time you like. There you will find both short announces and large reviews containing some frames from a movie. But both TV-shows and magazines usually cover the new releases and probably one or two retrospective movies. By the way many other not specialized magazines and newspapers have their movie headings or columns where they tell the reader about the top hitting movies.

The greatest source of movie reviews is of course the Internet. Web-sites about movies are numerous. Most paper movie magazines either have their web home pages.

So you enter the name of a movie you would like to read a review on and get several links. Some of them will really be the link on the movie reviews.

Of course none of the opinions about any movie can be objective.

Also all reviews are different by the style and can be more or less subjective. If you trust to opinions of one of the musical critics ' well then check the signs under the text. Another variant is when you finally find a web-site about movies where the film reviews appeal to you very much and you always tend to agree with them even after you've watched a movie. You're a lucky one ' you've probably found somewhere on the Net a soul mate at least in the question of movies.

On many of web-side you can read the opinions not only of the professional movie critics but of those common people who've watch the movie and want to let world know what he/she thinks about it. You can send a post with the opinion of yours or even a small review to one of those sites.

So let's us all talk about the movies on and offline because they're worth being discussed.
