Movie releasesThey appear almost everyday. Sometimes the DVD-s with new movies appear even before they've been shown in the cinemas and a few months before the official release. You've only heard of that new movie that is going to be released on the radio or TV. Next day see the widely advertised movie already being sold on some flea market.
Nowadays no one gets surprised by this fact ' pirates are pirates. Local governments, movie producers and rights owner ' they all are fighting with piracy, well probably not fighting but trying to fight. And what about the consumers ' they get new movie releases earlier than it was announced and pay a smaller price otherwise in the worse quality. Should they be complaining about it? Probably not.
The fight with movie piracy hasn't yet reached the scale of the fight with mp3 one. Especially this refers for free downloadable pirate copies.
For a license DVD with a new movie release you will have to pay about 20-30$. They say you pay for quality. Well you really do. Usually you get 'in one package' a movie, a few language translation, subtitles, one soundtrack with director comments, some additional materials with lots of nice and pleasant stuff. Do you really need all that ' it you to decide.
For a pirate DVD with a new movie you pay about four times less. How much less you get of the quality it's hard to say. One for certain is that you get less of it. But ' ha-ha! ' you'll be the first to see the movie. That is pleasant because we all know how it feels to hear and to see the ads of a new movie every day and count the days left until the premier. Although, you may spoil yourself all the pleasure from watching a really good new one only because the picture will be all filled with the hues of red/green/blue/etc and will be stretched or anything else. The sound can be echoed, if it's a foreign movie than you will probably get an awful translation which is moreover can be hardly heard beyond the original soundtrack. Well that's the trick about all the pirate copies ' you never can tell which surprises it hides from you till you watch it.
Speaking of those everywhere pirates, how do they get all the movies first to show them so generously to everyone who can't wait for a new movie official release. Some say that about 90 % of all pirate copies are shut in the cinemas. In California they won't even sometimes let you carry a digital video camera with you to the cinema. The rest appear thanks to the cares of the people who's job is somehow associated with the movie making industry.
If you are the great movie fan and carefully follow all the new movie releases then you could subscribe to some movie club where you pay a few cents for the first movie or even may chose and get a few first DVD-s for free but the club obliges you to buy you a few new movies for the full price. In some cases you won't even know what they will send you. Unless you check your e-mail for messages containing the information about the new movie releases you may once find some new blockbuster, that you would never like to watch, mailed to you and the full price of it already taken off you credit card.
Some travelers love to bring some new foreign movie releases from abroad. Here the problem is that DVD-players sold in one country are able to play the DVD-s coded according to the zone which this country belongs to. This means for example that a DVD-player produces for being sold in USA may not read European DVD-s.
But all the travelers who bring the movies from abroad stay calm because they've already purchased multi-zone DVD-players. Secretly, most of DVD-players nowadays are taught to read more than one zone disks.
So the life of those who like to watch movies hot and fresh out of the kitchen is very complicated nowadays. Every time choosing a DVD with a new movie they are facing a vital question: to wait or not wait for the official release.
