Fun partyEvery party is supposed to be fun, but there're very many things in this world that are never what they're supposed to be. It's up to the host to make the party a fun. Sometimes you'll have to work on it a lot. What's the main idea of a fun party? You come there and the moment you step in you should leave all your worries and troubles behind the door.
Best of all is to arrange the fun parties for kids, they seem to have less problems to think about and more will and energy to have fun. But that doesn't mean adults don't like having fun. Although they are sometimes afraid to look too childish, stupid, freak or something. The problems is of course that they think too much of the consequences or just think too much.
Some people think that fun is measured by the number of alcohol portions per person. You can of course get your guests drunk so they can't walk but n the most cases this turns to be more headache in all meanings than fun. Supply your party with wine, beer, cocktails but mind this isn't a guarantee of a fun party.
All the party entertainment should be planned from the very beginning. Don't count too much on the impromptus and spontaneous fun ideas. They will probably appear but you'll have to give a party the first impulse.
Start with invitations. Don't just start like this: 'Hey, I'm arranging a party. Do you have plans on Saturday'? Announce it as an outstanding event. Sent funny postcards by e-mail. Write a plan of a party with all the entertainments on it. Let everyone you invite know that it's not a drink and chat party, advertise it as a fun party from the beginning. Get your guests in the mood long before the party starts, make them curious.
The best idea for a fun party is of course any theme party. Better choose some crazy theme ' cartoon heroes, cabaret, western and etc. Guests will already have fun watching each other dressed in those strange clothes. If you've chosen to arrange a theme party than you'll have just to develop the theme in order to entertain your guest n the contests and games. If your guests have already come dressed like Mickey Mice and Scrooge Mac Ducks this means they are ready for almost everything.
Of course it's not absolutely necessary to have all your guests wearing cowboy hats to make it a fun party. But still it'd better have something piquant about it. Unleash your imagination as it's usually said in this case.
One good but probably a little bit exotic party idea is to paint your guests. Yes, yes, buy special supplies for safe and washable face painting and just do it! Better notify everyone that you're planning something really original otherwise you will probably have to tie your guests in order to make a masterpiece of their faces.
Usually you will need one daredevil who will participate first in the fun and the others will soon like to try it whatever it is themselves. The most shy ones will have fun watching. By the way about watching ' for the time when it get dark you may prepare some fireworks, especially if you are arranging a party in the country.
Fun doesn't always mean something fuzzy, noisy or spectacular. You may prepare some intellectual games. Especially if you guests are elderly, respectable people and you know won't ever participate in some contests with the air of something erotic or childish. Still very many people like watching those question-answer TV shows or pass I-net IQ tests. People like to think that they are cleverer than some others and even more they like to show and prove it. Use this. You don't have to rack your brains preparing the questions and sick through the encyclopedias for answers. The same I-net or just a nearby bookshop offer a great variety of those tests and intellectual games. You can even buy some, tell your guests about it and they would for sure to look at it and to try it. But don't ever show any of those you've invited ' especially this refers to men ' any new games on your computer. In this case you may loose participants of a collective fun.
So summing it all up ' a fun party is a party of a good host with bright imagination and a strong will to make a fun of a party.
