Traditional Flamenco assumes that the dancers do not hold anything in their hands, in order to demonstrate Flamenco expression with hands. However, everybody knows that Flamenco is performed with castanets. Originally castanets were an accessory of classic Spanish dance, but due the audience's approval now castanets are integral part of any Flamenco show.
