Disney has given us all a fairy tale, a happy felling of endless childhood, a neverland where all the dreams come true, good wins evil and where's no place for sorrows and sadness. Disney movies has always been something more that the well-drawn animated pictures. Disney cartoon heroes seem to exist somewhere in reality never getting older or loosing their charm.
Once Mickey Mouse was born on a paper napkin and since then all the magic begun.
In the basics of every Disney's animated movie lays fantasy, imagination, the best creative powers of a human's mind (a least this how it was when Walt Disney was reigning his cartoon empire). He was drifting away in his dreams in the mess if the colors and drawings. But the Disney's empire would never become what it has been for years if there would be only dreams and fantasies. The moment the inspiration was caught a dreamer was turning into a worker who was dealing only with the latest technologies. Even now when Disney movies has lost a great part of their original spirit the quality of the drawn cartoons still stays beyond any comparisons.
Disney was always experimenting and taking risks without any fear. Plenty of times he was almost a bankrupt. And some of his ideas were considered absolutely crazy but yet he was winning a victory again and again. So now we are enjoying the classical animated movie that were once predicted to be failures.
Do you know that they gave to the 'Snowhite and Seven Dwarfs' an Oscar and seven little Oscars? Do you remember that it was the first full-length animated movie ' a brilliant idea of Walt Disney in the success of which almost no one believed? And we all know very well that trick when they put both cartoon heroes and heroes played by real people into one movie. Guess who's idea... In some way the king of the cartoon empire was very like the citizens of it: crazy and invincible. Or that's how it seemed.
What's the main idea of all Disney movies? Goodness fights with evil and always fully wins so that all the evil creatures disappear without a trace. There's no way things could be different in this magical world that gives us all those light feelings of hope and belief. In Disney movies there're only happy ends because everyone adores happy ends. There's no time in the animated movies of Disney, no dates are marked, heroes have no ages.
They are the kingdom of eternal childhood, they are re-released every ten years and are never old-fashioned, they suit to every new generation of kids the same well as to the previous ones.
Disney is the first who started to show his animated movies on TV (in order to pay the debt) and TV has become a source of an entertainment for the whole family.
He even built a fairy land for his own kids ' the Disneyland, the dream of every average modern child. Being a magician while creating his cartoon heroes and stories he was a smoker and almost an alcoholic in life. Some say he was a bed-tempered man but most of Disney movies has turned to be classics nowadays.
Still the Disney's empire today isn't what it was before. It's gone far from it's roots and traditions, the popularity of drawn animated movies is decreasing because of the computer animated cartoons that are gaining more and more popularity. Some of Disney movies don't even pay the expenditures on it's producing.
Still let's hope that all the trouble are only temporary and that Mickey and all his cartoon comrades won't see the dusk of the Empire. Neither will we.
