Kids do love parties. They love them much more than grown-ups probably because they don't have to plan and organise them and count the damages and losses afterwards. But still every mother would like to arrange a good party for her child's holiday because every mother loves to see her baby pleased and happy.

The least troublesome variant is to arrange a children's party at some fast-food restaurant or cafe. They all usually have an option of hosting kid's holidays. The party lasts about one or two hours. It includes a birthday cake, sometimes personnel singing 'happy birthday', some unpretentious snacks,  balloons or colourful ribbons or some other staff of that kind. Some of those cafes offer children's entertainment ' a traditional clown for example. Such a party won't cost you much and for sure will leave all kids rather satisfied. Children go less crazy because it's a public place and cause their parents less problems.

You may host a children's party at home. This already demands more effort from mother's side. You have to think about food, decorations and entertainment yourself. And while you are trying to get everything ready on time your kiddo hands around, pulls you by the sleeve and asks every five minutes about 'how soon'. Make someone help you ' let one of your friends or relatives take your child with the other guests out. Plan for them some cultural program before the party. They may be taken by a grown-up to a cinema for some top hitting cartoon, to a zoo or to the planetarium. While the whole crew will be off you'll have enough time to get everything ready. By the way kids will return slightly tired and full of impression and probably they will show less destructive energy.

If your child stays at home then try to engage him/her in the preparations. Let a kid do some easy and harmless part of cooking or make him/her blow the balloons. A child will be happy to feel useful and will stay occupied while you're running around busy.

Don't bother yourself much with the question of a children's party menu. Let it be snacks and soda drinks. Childhood is the time when cheeps, pizza, ice-cream, cookies do excite much more that a duck or a lamb roasted will apples or oranges and served with some exotic sauce. For you it's only less hush. Yes, cheeps and candies aren't good for a kid's stomach and teeth but it's so tasty how can't those dull grown-ups understand it! Remember that it's only for a few times a year.

Decorate your house with all the colourful sparkling and  shining staff that can't be torn of the walls, thrown away and broken with any pity. You know what's so lively about balloons ' they can be burst.  Because of the same reason better use plastic dishes for your children's party dinner and take away from the room all the things you would be especially sorry to see spoilt.

But best of all organise some tests, competitions, contests, puzzles to entertain the crew and to bring their energy into some positive activities. But some big sheets of paper and a few boxes of colour chalks or paints. Let the children express themselves on the paper. Thing of some themes for their drawing and about the prizes for the best artists. The same way you may organise a singing or a dancing contests. Either you may plan some intellectual games. For example write a list of questions with the variants of answers about some well-known fairy tale or any popular book for kid's like 'Harry Potter'. Don't forget to reward the best participant with some nice gifts ' that will only increase the enthusiasm of others. You pay buy some small gifts for every guest, put them into a basket or hang from the ceiling so that kids may go fishing their gifts or try to cut them off their ties with the closed eye. Whatever you are going to organise remember that kids extremely love presents. For the sunny summer day you may plan some outdoor activities.

After all the children have got their part of fun and noise let them discuss their kid's problems or watch a movie on TV. Meanwhile you and those who have been helping you may have a little rest in the kitchen with a piece of a cake and a glass of champagne.
