American moviesAmerican movies are equal to Hollywood that word wide famous and legendary dream factory and the movie kitchen. And the Hollywood is the synonym of commercial cinematography, movie mainstream.
People around the world are used to think that main thing about American movies is to make on it as much money as it's possible. Some say that American cinematography is ruled by corporations and producers. When they see that one conception, idea, genre is actual for public at the moment and brings some considerable income they use it till the source runs short. Then they to another one. The movie is worth being shut only if it pays all the expenditures on it. They say it's not about art, in fact American movies can be hardly called art, it's all about big, green dollars. Here the main parts are played not with the actors, directors, script writes but by the accountants because they know the art that is much more precious than any other ' they know how to count money. And producers usually know very well all the public tastes and ready to serve them. It's like a perfect movie formula and they've learnt all the components of it. You have only to mix them in the right proportions and people will be excited because they will get exactly what they wanted.
What does that formula usually looks like in a great deal of all American blockbusters? A super hero or a common guy like millions of others is destined to save the world. He saves the world, destroys a villain number or some unidentified dark evil one that was planning to gain the world domination. While saving the world the hero meets a beauty and they both luckily share the victory and a briefcase of money in the end. Very familiar, right?
To make it all work add some fantastic or mysterious moments, a couple actors with the loud names who's private life is widely discussed in the mass press and lots, lots of brainstorming special effects. The budget of such a movie will be huge but every single cent will return a few times multiplied after the endless flush of viewers will start filling the cinemas.
This variant is only one from all others scenarios which are plenty but each of them is testified and verified by public hundreds of times. Each new American movie is being sewed from the most successful parts of the other movies, there are lots of common places in all of them. And each time you watch a new movie you get that deja vu feeling. One common place of almost all American movies is the happy end.
But is it all so bad in the end? Why those primitive and silly as some call it American movies and the Hollywood are so popular all other the world, more popular than the national movies in every country? Maybe the reason is that the American movies with all the super-heroes, special effects and happy ends are made for the people. It's not an art, that's true, it's a kind of an entertainment, a roller-coaster. Some call it fast-food ' well but it's tasty.
When you come home after work tired, exhausted and willing to relax you don't a gloomy and severe drama of European kind with little of action about the freaky people with their freaky problems.
You need something spectacular and exciting that will take your breath away and won't let go till the final subtitles or some stuff proving the main life truths, or a very stupid comedy, but the one that will make you laugh until the teas burst out of your eyes.
Probably you will forget that movie the very next but it's already finished it's mission ' it's charged you with some positive emotions.
American movies are very pleasant to watch. Probably most of them are the products of mass entertainment industry but it's a product of the high quality. Because those who produce it know their business very well. They do it for their own profit but who cares is the results are so nice. If you're still afraid that you are being brainwashed ' well you may watch a couple of art house or independent movies per month, they will only make the Hollywood production taste sweeter for you next time.
