I was doing some volunteer work in my community and it came to my attention that one of the local youth groups needed a van. They were a church based group who were trying to offer a lot of different fun activities for kids to provide an alternative to getting in trouble with drugs or violence. I felt strongly about supporting this group and wanted to help in any way I could. I wondered how we could raise enough money to purchase a van for them and then I realized that I did not even have much of a concept of how much it would cost. I saw a sign the other day for used ford cans and tried to remember where I was when I saw it. I was hoping to formulate a plan and see what I could do about fixing this problem for a local group that I supported.

Once I found the place where I saw the used ford vans for sale sign I approached with caution. I sized up the guy who appeared to be in charge and he noticed me doing it, I quickly looked down to the floor not prepared to be too aggressive but realizing that I might have to be. I did not really tell anyone about my plan, I was hoping to surprise them by just bringing it over. I was not much of a salesperson usually, but when I really believed in something, I could sell just about anything. It did not take long for the man to approach me and he was all smiles. There were several trips that the adults would like to plan and allow them to do if only they had a form of transportation that could accommodate a bunch of kids. I added that they would perform more volunteer work in the community if we could only find a kind and generous enough individual to donate one or two used ford vans to a worthy cause. That part had not been discussed but I did not think anyone in the group would have any trouble with it. The man then asked why it had to be used ford vans, why not some other manufacturer and I explained because he only had used for vans on the lot.
