Ford 8n tractors are a thing of the past, but when it was around Ford 8n tractors were the best thing going. Ford 8n tractors were the best available back in the 1940’s and 50’s. They were known for there reliability and resell value among farmers everywhere. Ford 8n tractors were known to never break down, or at least not break down a lot. It should be noted that it was in the late 40’s and we did not have all of the technological advances that we have nowadays.

Having a tractor was a great reliability record was very important to farmers back then. You have to remember that these farmers were dependent on their tractors day in and day out. If the tractor did not work, the farm would not be able to run. Most farmers could not afford more than one or two tractors, so if the one they had broke down, there whole business could be gone until it was fixed. And if the business is gone, so are all of the profits. That is why Ford 8n tractors became so popular. There good reliability record allowed farmers to stay in work, and provide themselves with money and the people with the goods that they needed. Ford did a great job of releasing the Ford 8n tractors at just the right time. The United States had hit a peak in the farming industry and people were in need of this tractor as this time. If it would have been released a few years later the tractor may have not had the success that it did. This is because other manufacturers began to come out with their own designs, and were selling at a lower price.

These used Ford tractors can still be found today. Not only found, but also in service. That is amazing for a mechanical good that is over 50 years old. The way these tractors were built, I would not be surprised to see Ford 8n tractors in action for years to come. With such high levels of durability you will soon wonder if these tractors do breakdown at all. They almost seem to have a life long guarantee that they will not breakdown while you are using it. Even though they are 50 years old some of them are more then likely still working in perfect order.
