The name Aston Martin conjures up an array of spectacular images in the minds of people, from super spies to extraordinarily fast sports cars. However, how many of us can really appreciate the difference between the more common, but nonetheless desirable two litre roadsters that we see daily on our roads, and a 300+ horsepowered brute that achieves similar acceleration from 0-60 mph before disappearing into treble figures at a rate that will make the majority of two litre roadsters pale into insignificance? Few of us regularly encounter an Aston Martin, and even fewer of us come across an Aston Martin Virage, if we did so on a motorway in a hot two litre with no speed limit, we might appreciate why an Aston Martin is special.
