It seems that society has the misconception that things in life can be learnt in books. That is why we are bombarded with having to take car driving classes. The idea behind it all must be that all things road wise can be learnt in a book. That is the problem. People attend driving classes with the illusion that they can become better drivers once they pass. But the minute they step out of the driving classes classroom they are amazed or perhaps are taught the hard way that driving classes are all about getting and well not learning much.

The reason for having car driving classes is that you need to know. This is the foundation of driving. You need to learn all the basics before you learn what the road is all about. The only thing that you cannot learn in driving classes is the personalities that you encounter on the road. These are the individuals that are the driving factor stand between you and getting home in one piece. Although it might seem that going to car driving classes can improve your capability on the road, they do not actually fully equip you. Better, yet they might over equip you with stuff that you might find that you never use. Driving seems to be more about instinct with some rules to curb the loss of lives. But when you are faced with a dangerous road situation you will know what it means to be a driver.

However this is not to say that car driving classes are the devil. They are just the laws and regulations like the laws and regulations of everyday life. Sometimes they will be broken. But the wonderful think about driving school classes is that you are helped on your way to becoming an initial driver. This mainly being applicable to the reckless speed and adrenaline junkie youth. It seems that speed can have an almost drug like effect on the new driver. Often this was thought to be true for male drivers. But as more and more women are attending driving school classes to get their licences, the road is becoming one large need pumping up its addicts.

Perhaps society has indeed taken for the worst. More and more people of all ages are owning their own cars. This is due to the liberating effect that cars have for those who own them. People like to travel and mostly it seems by land. Visiting places and the works requires own private transportation. The logic of a driving school also helps you know more about keeping safety on the road. It does however disappoint when you go to a foreign country and the rules are all backwards as such.

This shows the weakness of driving school classes. What is the point of having a licence and learning all there is to know about the rules of your country when you intend to travel? Perhaps the driving school classes can be more useful if they also incorporated some driving classes for the common traveller.

There is no point getting a fine because you were not prepared. That can be the dampening effect on your lovely holiday. So maybe on a better review driving classes should be more about what is really going on instead of what they think is going on. The road is harsh and people should not be given the illusion of going through a field full of daisies. The harsh realities of life should be part of the driving classes lessons.
