The new 2005 Mustang GT caught my husband's attention and I must admit that it was a great looking car. We found a dealer in our area that was actually an old high school friend of my husband's. Test-driving that Mustang was so much fun and I began to forget about my desire for a nissan coupe car. The search continued however and we decided to move on and investigate some of our other options.
Unfortunately, it was the middle of winter and not the ideal time to be test-driving sports cars, but on the other hand, it was a good idea to know how they would handle on slippery roads during winter. Not that we planned to drive our new car too much during the winter, but it was unrealistic to think it would never happen.
Our next stop was the nissan coupe dealer and once I saw the new 350Z in the showroom, my desire for a nissan coupe car was completely renewed. Just the look of the car was enough to make me drool and my husband immediately realized that I was absolutely smitten with this nissan coupe. The salesman began to explain the 24-valve, 3.5-liter V-6 engine to us and that this nissan coupe had 287 horsepower, which was almost as much as the Mustang GT. The Mustang actually had 300 horsepower, but the difference was quite minimal and I was hoping that this fact would not sway my husband's decision too much about buying this beautiful nissan coupe car. We learned that the high-end model was the Enthusiast and it was everything we wanted and more. Test-driving this gorgeous nissan coupe was next and I had my fingers crossed the entire time, hoping that my husband would find it as much fun to drive as the Mustang or perhaps even more fun.
I believe we were about five miles into the test-drive when my husband began to grin uncontrollably. The dealership was only a mile from the expressway so it did not take long before he tested the claim of the salesman that this nissan couple could go zero to sixty in 5.5 seconds. That is all it took and after I gave it a quick drive, just to be sure, we returned to the dealership and wrote a check for $29,000. This saved us $1,000 to save for any parts that we might what to upgrade later on. Although I highly doubt that we will want to do that this Nissan is equipped with everything that we could want. But you never know when something might go wrong with the car and we need some cash incase the worst might happen. Although we are hoping that nothing will go wrong with our brand new car.
