Any parent is sure to agree that bringing up a child is hard work. It stands to reason that all parents strive to perfection. Of course they have no doubt about the fact hat their child is the smartest, the most beautiful and the most talented of all. But still, it is not enough and they would like the whole world to know about it. For this just parental love is not enough, a great deal of effort must be put in discovering the innate talents and inclinations of your little treasure and in their further development.
Child and music are considered to be among the most beautiful things in the world. It stands to reason that the charm of the former and the latter is somewhat different, but still indisputable. It is not by chance that teaching music is attributed great importance in the process of upbringing. The positive effects of harmonious sounds on the human soul were discovered long ago and need no proof. Therefore, children are not exempt from this general rule.
In the case of kids, the magical powers of music are even enhanced. Among the multiple positive effects of music the following must be mentioned: by introducing music in the life of children parents teach them to appreciate the beauty of the melody and harmony, which promotes the development of their artistic taste on the whole. Besides, the children can't but acknowledge the depth of the composer's talent. From this stems their aspiration to self-perfection.
It stands to reason that child and music is a very beneficial combination in terms of the development of the child's talent and his abilities. The concept of child and music implies several aspects. The very dawn of the child and music interaction is the love of kids for their mothers' and granny's' lullabies. There is no mystery as to why that is. Music instills peace of mind in the child, dusts off all the troubles and worries. The next step of child and music interaction is the music games. There are very few people who do not associate their childhood with this exciting activity.
Kids and music games seem to have been created for each other. Besides enjoying the music in the games, the children also enjoy interaction with each other. Music adds a lively and interesting shade to it. The nest step of the child and music relationship development is teaching music. At a certain age the child is ready not only to perceive the ready-made musical pieces, but he is already nature enough to try and reproduce some musical abstracts.
In teaching music to the children it is crucial that the child has some sort of inclination to this sphere of activity. It is a common practice to make the children study music even thought they have not the least desire to. According to the parents' reasoning, their children will learn to appreciate it in time and in the log run they will be grateful to them for their persistence. However, the chances of such outcome are slim to none. The kids are more likely to start to hate the music, when too much pressure is exercised.
Therefore is appears reasonable not to impose learning music on children when they do not express any excitement about it.
