For every woman, excess hair is a big problem. Of course, there are also the more rare situations like hirsutism or hypertrichosis when special medical treatment is needed but in most cases excess hair can be treated with regular hair removal methods.
Today you can find a great variety of different techniques and methods to remove unwanted hair. And new scientific and very effective methods are being developed all the time.
The most usual ways for removing excess hair are shaving, waxing and depilatories. They have been used for a very long time. These procedures are so widely used because they are pretty cheap and easy to use. The simplest method is probably shaving. But of all the other techniques to remove excess hair, shaving gives the shortest lasting result. You will need to repeat it every day or in some cases even two times a day.
With waxing or sugaring you can get a little longer result. Waxing will allow you to get rid of excess hair for about a week. But there is another disadvantage of this method - it is painful. Using different
electrical depilators you will be able to remove unwanted hair for several weeks. It is not so painful and still very effective.
But today for the excess hair problem we have a new permanent solution - different modern methods that will allow you to forget about unwanted hair forever.
One of these permanent methods is electrolysis. This technique has been used for a pretty long time and has showed great results. In this method the hair follicles are treated with an electric current. A special metal probe is inserted into follicle and voltage is applied. But that is also a problem - as long as each hair follicle has to be treated separately, then, the entire procedure will take a lot of time.
The electrolysis method of hair removal is so popular these days, that many manufacturers started to produce special devices for home electrolysis. But still, the actual procedure is pretty complex and it is much better to have electrolysis hair removal done in a clinic. Only trained specialists can perform all the operations that this procedure calls for correctly.
Another technological method of treating of excess hair is laser hair removal. This method is pretty much like electrolysis - as far as that way that it affects the hair follicle. But in this case a laser beam is used instead of electrical current. In laser hair removal a laser with a specific wavelength is used. This laser light is absorbed by the hair follicles, and then it is converted into thermal energy which then kills the follicle. In this method many hair follicles can be affected at once. This means that laser hair removal procedure takes less time than electrolysis hair removal. But laser hair removal technique is relatively new and it has not been tested completely. With the laser method, however, different complications are also possible - in some cases scars can remain on your skin after an operation.
For treatment of excess hair you can also use different sorts of inhibitors that stop or at least slow the hair growth. But as long as aggressive components are used these methods can be dangerous for your health.
