Vegan vs vegetarian - the representatives of the strictest nutrition system.

Added: 01/31/2006

Vegetarian nutrition advantages are proved at the present by the number of researches and tests. Most vegetarians gain not only health benefits (reduction of health problems, heart diseases, cancer, diabetes) but also weight stabilizing and inside freedom. Veganism is one of the strictest vegetarian variants. Vegetarian eliminate both animal eating and consumer goods of animal origin.

It is not a secret to everyone that vegetarianism is a plant nutrition system that is presented by different variants: ovo-lacto vegetarianism, ovo vegetarianism, lacto vegetarianism, pesco vegetarianism, veganism, raw food eating, fruitism, etc. Veganism is considered to be one of the strictest waves.

Vegan vs vegetarian never allows eating animal products. Strict vegans eliminate such products from the vegan vs vegetarian diet as meat, fish, dairy products, eggs; honey is also not an exception front this list. They do not use products if they were got in artificial (if they consume fruits that are free fallen fruits, etc). Vegan vs. vegetarian is far from consumption such natural animal products as wool, fur, leather and even silk. Strict vegetarians are also against cosmetic and other products that passed testing on animals. Vegan vs vegetarian can avoid using animal based products because of allergy of any internal reasons.

Vegan vs vegetarian declares that only in this lifestyle way it is possible to save not only good health but also pure soul. It is obvious that vegan vegetarian believes that keeping vegan diets he/she can improve own health, environment, society and the universe itself. So from this point the veganism stops being just nutrition system and transfer in sophisticated philosophical stream.

But there are some exceptions from the list of general vegans. The group of people who follows vegan diet but at the same time consume leather, woolen, fur, etc. goods is called dietary vegans. Strict vegetarians? named people who reject meat eating and at the same time animal products usage.

The list of reasons that motivate certain vegan vegetarian is really huge. Some people struggle for animal rights; others search for health benefits; the rest are motivated by religious, aesthetic, spiritual, ethical, etc. reasons.

Recent polls show that only 4% of American society members consider themselves vegetarians at the same time only 5% of this number are vegans. It means that American vegans present 0.2% of adult Americans. The comparison of these data shows that the number of vegans in the UK is 0.4% that means 250000 people (2001).

The term ?vegan? was created by Elsie Shrigley in 1944 that proclaimed the appearing of the first Vegan society in the UK. The name of society presented just abbreviation from the full form of ?vegetarian? (three first and two last letters). But the members of society tried to eliminate animal products from all fields of their life and not just avoid meat eating.

Despite veganism development in the 20th century first facts about its emergence can be traced to ancient India and philosophical theory of Hinduism with its main principle ?not to kill alive creature?. But ?official? rules and basis were established in the UK. This stream that at the present is not only nutrition but also lifestyle system became real moral effective rescue and eternal freedom for number of people.
