The company was founded in 1963, in Wisconsin. Today, all the stations of Universal Sanitary Equipment Manufacturing Company are tested and pre-assembled, requiring only piping and electrical connections. The company provides its customers with a number of benefits. Among them are sole source responsibility and lower costs for installation. The entire pump station is usually UL labeled and meets UL 77AL requirements for packaged pumping stations.
USEMCO is able to provide various manufacturing and custom designs, thus allowing high quality, cost effective products that are designed for a customer's specific application. Universal Sanitary Equipment Manufacturing Company is ready to offer a great choice to its customers, from custom fabricating work and job shops, to control systems and pumping stations.
Universal Sanitary Equipment Manufacturing Company is totally controlled during the entire manufacturing process. Since the company is a member of Steel Tank Institute, it rolls, fabricates, coats, welds, and blasts all the steel for the products and stations they make. It gives their customers the opportunity to benefit from the original designs of the industry.
USEMCO has some differences, if compared to its competitors. Other companies purchase a structure or a tank from the outside, after that they have to cut holes in it in order to have a proper base for installation of their equipment. Universal Sanitary Equipment Manufacturing Company performs the whole fabrication process from start to finish at their facilities. They fabricate the station bases and also install piping, pumps, and valves to the base before attaching the shell. After that, they lower the painted head and shell as a single unit onto the base and weld them.
There are several processes performed between the stages of fabrication and shipping. Then, the product is taken to the staging area. It is taken from the blast to the paint booth for inspection and to have all the welds coated. This is done to make sure the welds possess the proper coating thickness.
After that, the product is taken to the paint booth. The applicators have lifts on each side of the booth. The lifts are pneumatically powered. They are used in order to provide uniform coating to meet specification.
After passing through coating, the shell is directed to the base assembly. When the base and the shell are welded together, some piping penetrations are made. They are dyed and recoated. Two different colors are used for coating. By using different colors, the company ensures the necessary coating thickness on the whole surface by covering the contrasting layers.
After that, the stations are tested so as not to only use hydrostatical method for designing conditions. This procedure is done to every station, except for those which exceed the suction and power capabilities of the company.
USEMCO`s manufacturing philosophy and designs are reflected in the product quality, state-of-the-art facilities, and in their infrastructure of information technology.
