So, this method is called subfascial breast augmentation. Here you will read the author`s experience with the subfascial pocket in 130 cases or primary breast enlargement. The experiment lasted during September 2003 and November 2004. As many as 130 patients underwent subfascial primary bilateral breast augmentation. The average age of the patients was 30. The anatomical material is important to understand the method. So, the fascia of pectoralis major muscle originates from the clavicle and sternum. It is extended to the lateral border of the muscle and forms the axillary fascia. At the inferior border of the pectoralis major muscle the fascia continues over the serratus anterior, external oblique and rectus abdominal muscles. The fascia is thinner at the lower border of the pectoralis major muscle (1mm) and becomes thicker at the upper part of the muscle (5mm). These are anatomical details of the natural breast augmentation procedure.

In the subfascial breast augmentation special surgical technique is used. The inframmamary incision was made on 97% of the patients and the periareolar incision - in 3% of the patients. Round high profile high cohesive textured silicone implants were used (P.I.P.). All the dissection was performed with monopolar foot switch electrocautery under the described fascia. The incision was closed in three layers. All patients underwent general anesthesia. The follow-up period ranged from 3 months to 14 months (mean period is 7 months).

The results of this experience of natural breast enlargement are perfect. So, no haematoma and no infection was observed. 4 patients developed Mondor disease. No rippling or displacement of the implant was observed as well as no capsular contracture at the present time. Revision surgery was 0%. These are really marvelous results!
