The oil recovery has considerably affected the quality of water resources. Thus, waters appear to be polluted with such cancerogenic components of oil as benzene and its derivatives, polycyclic and sulfur organic connections. The situation can become even more complicated in the view of increasing the extraction of highly sulphurous oil with attraction of water resources for increase of the petrofeedback, the elaborated process of the development of new deposits, the development of deposits of bitumens and creation of the enterprises of oil refining.
All this beings about the urgent necessity for creating the uniform and independent system of supervision over the quality of natural waters in oil-extracting region with the purpose of duly detection of the pollution levels, forecasting of their dynamics in space for manufacture of preventive and engineering actions for the protection of natural waters. Ecological monitoring of waters in oil-extracting areas is not conducted.
All over the world, the researches of processes of biodegradation of oil are carried out, techniques and recommendations on water clarification are developed. The communities of microorganisms, allowing enough quickly to eliminate oil pollution, are used everywhere with water quality sensors. However, there is no uniform automated monitoring system, the analysis of the situation, and permanent ecological monitoring of waters. In this connection, the following research works are carried out:
1. Creation of the automated information - analytical system of the constant ecological control, data gathering, its storage, information campaigns, control services and emergency messages in governmental bodies, using the international networks on the Internet for prevention and liquidations of consequences of ecological emissions.
2. Creation of the automated library system of gathering, storage and processing of the information on ecological conditions with the purpose of producing forecasts.
3. Studying experience of the organization of permanent monitoring waters.
4. Studying experience of the decision of social problems arising in critical situations.
5. Search automated, highly reliable, capable to work in field conditions in a range of ambient temperatures with water quality sensors, polluted with products of oil extracting and oil refining.
Within the framework of the planned program, sufficient experience on creation of the various automated information of the retrieval systems is saved up. Water quality sensors are developed. One of the used water quality sensors is Stevens water monitoring systems. Stevens water monitoring systems is intended for monitoring a level and the necessary qualities of water. Stevens water monitoring systems are independent and they are suitable for being iinstalled in remote places.
The basic structure of stevens water monitoring systems is the device of data gathering, gauges of a level and temperatures of water, gauges of quality of water (on demand), the equipment of communication and the power supply. The basis of the case is possible to strengthen to the concrete base, on a natural firm surface, on the bridge, a suitable wall and so forth. Solar batteries (one or two necessarily) and the aerial ones are established on a mast, where it is also possible to establish meteo gauges on demand.
