Non-vegetarian drinks can be produced in different ways.

The production of non-vegetarian drinks is traditional all over the world. There are several methods for non-vegetarian alcohol production. Nevertheless some of the production methods are prohibited in some countries. The use of animal products is aimed at clarifying alcohol drinks from sediment and particles. As for vegetarians they can be concerned about the influence of the production both on humans and on the environment.
There are different animal products which are used for the production of non-vegetarian drinks. There are also different ways in which animal products are used for the production of non-vegetarian alcohol, such as non-vegetarian beer, wine and other drinks. So, non-vegetarian drinks can be produced with the help of isinglass. It is a kind of gelatine which is obtained from the fish bladders. It is used to fine or clarify many beers and wines. The gelatin helps to reduce sediment and particles leaving the product clean and clear. Non-vegetarian drinks are also prepared with the help of egg albumen. It is a kind of modified chitin and casein which is also used for clarifying drinks. Some non-vegetarian drinks, such as wines from different Mediterranean countries, can be clarified with the help of large mammals' blood. But the latter method is prohibited in some countries, such as France and the USA. Specialists say that usually the quantity of animal products used for clarifying alcoholic drinks is very small. Moreover, manufacturers use the filtration process which removes the clarifying agents from alcoholic drinks. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that the filtration clears the final products from all the clarifying agents. There are two reasons why people can be concerned about the quantity of the animal products that are used for the production of alcohol drinks. First of all, people can be worried about their vegetarian diet. And secondly they can be concerned about the animals which are killed for the purpose. But it is necessary to mention the fact that animals are not killed especially for these clarifying agents. The animals are killed so that it is possible to consume the flesh and the edible body parts of the animals. Meat manufacturers create a market of the products which would otherwise be considered as unusable waste. When vegans and vegetarians choose alcohol drinks they are concerned not only about the use of the animal products. They are also worried about the influence of the production process both on the environment (for example, energy consumption, water use, land use and pesticides) and on humans (world hunger, land use, economic systems and workers) and on the human body (spiritual, mental and physical). But specialists are sure that those who are vegans on health reasons should be more concerned about the alcohol content in the drinks rather that about the traces of the animal products. Today there is a wide range of drinks which can be worthy substitutes to alcohol drinks. Moreover it is possible to consume vegan alcohol drinks, which means those which do not use animal products. It is consumers who can express their opinions and make manufacturers stop using animal products. It is also necessary to mention the fact that the use of the products is a tradition rather than a necessity. One of the advantages of the tradition is low prices for the products which are just by-products of the massive industry of animal-derived food.
