The Prestige and Popularity of Junior Resident Camps Increases Daily

Added: 12/13/2005

Junior resident camps became the original conduits of progress and the all-around development of society's youth. Employment by sports and fitness clubs became prestigious and fashionable. To be healthy, harmonious and fit became not only fashionable but also a necessary attribute of the self-assured person. Sports became an original symbol of success and prosperity.

An increasing number of parents try to send their children to junior resident camps in the hopes that they will emerge fit, more mature and motivated to tackle the problems of everyday life.

Junior resident camps can consist of various sports dedications: football, swimming, tennis, rugby or the martial arts, track and field athletics and even figure skating. More often at some junior resident camps students are engaged in two and often in three kinds of sports. However, most of the time students pay attention to a dominating kind of sports.

It should be admitted that because of considerably increased popularity of tennis, junior resident camps that focus on racquet sports have become more and more popular. At these camps, youth and children study not only to play professional tennis but also simply to become more physically advanced, healthy and active.

Tennis is one of the kinds of sports which, in the opinion of the majority of psychologists, develops an active vital lifestyle. People who were engaged in tennis in childhood, in advanced age adapt to a new collective much easier and have the advanced communicative skills and abilities. Besides, tennis is one of the most healthy kinds of sports as the probability to get a trauma or pulled ligament is much lower than in other kinds of sports.

Many parents willingly put their own children under the tutelage of skilled trainers and teachers of the junior resident camps. More often at such camps, special attention is paid to all meals and housing as it is very necessary for any sportsman even beginner to have high-grade and qualitative feed, good rest and comfort after intensive trainings. The diet of pupils is made up by experts-dieticians depending on age group, a degree of physical activity, personal needs and uniqueness of pupils. Personal evaluation is made for each student which contains some requirement for the health, physical preparation and special marks. This personal evaluation is necessarily taken into account by the trainer, teachers and at drawing up of a daily diet.

Most of junior resident camps have their own technique of constructing the educational process, however all similar institutions are obliged to provide the pupils with high-grade rate of general educational subjects so that sports occupation does not prevent pupils from the opportunity to master necessary knowledge of obligatory educational program.

Some camps provide such an approach to their daily regimen: in the morning the students have some lessons, and then after dinner and some rest the real training begins.

Other camps use the technique of "full immersion" when within several weeks pupils are taught one subject in which they have an examination literally in two-three weeks. The period of "full immersion" for each discipline can be really miscellaneous, however the rate of the school program of old classes at such approach does not exceed 1.5 years. All this time trainings are held in less busy schedule, however after the basic subjects of the school program have been handed over as pupils start a more intensive sports regimen.
