"The Eagles" was created in the USA in 1971. Its participators were Glenn Fray, Bernie Lidon, Randy Maisner and Don Henley.

In April in 1971 four famous American musicians decided to create their own project and to call it the "Eagles". In March in 1972 they went to London to record the first disc "The Eagles". Some songs became hits. They were songs "Take It Easy" and "Witchy Woman" which were the hits.

In 1973, "The Eagles" produced the disc "Desperado".

A new album "On the border" (1974) was a turning point for the group. There were three hits there- "James Dean", "Best of my love" - "One of these nights".

The album "One Of These Nights" gave the possibility of "The Eagles" to be number one on the charts and eighth in Brazil. The most successful hit from this disc was "Lyin' Eyes" for which the group got "Grammy" later. This album is called the best one during the group history.

In 1976, the structure of "The Eagles" was changed.

A new album "Hotel California" was very popular. It had been reordering for six months. It was the first in the hit-list in the USA in January and then it was the first for three times in February and once in April. In England this album took the second place. Songs "New Kid In Town", "Life in the fast lane", "Victim of love", "The last resort" and "Hotel California" were the most popular.

1978 was the first calm year in The Eagles history - they made a tour across Canada, recorded the single "Please Come Home For Christmas".

In 1980, a new album appeared. It was the last album of "The Eagles". Every participator worked individually. But the realty was that Don Henley and Glen Fry just couldn't get along. Officially the fact that the group didn't exist any more was known only in 1982.

In 1989, there were rumors that "The Eagles" were organized again which were confirmed in 1994 when they had a concert on MTV, later in May-June they made a small tour, which was very successful. Their album "Hell Freezes Over" hit number one on the American Billboard charts but in England it stalled at number 28.

In 1994, the group was the same as it was in 1978. They planned to make an album and to make a tour. The album "Hell freezes over" consisted of only four new songs. There were only a few concerts.

In December in 1999 there was a press conference in Los-Angeles where the group participators told that they were going to make one more tour and to record a new album.

When we say "The Eagles" we mean "Hotel California". This song was the most popular song in the group creation and on contrary - when we say "Hotel California" wee mean the "Eagles".
