Added: 12/09/2005

The teenage years are characterized not only by a special psychological condition of teenagers, displaying of sexual features, but also some external attributes. Hormonal splash, a characteristic of pubertal period, causes not only puberty, but also original by-effects of this process. The occurrence of acne produces a change of the fat content of skin of the face, body and head. The occurrence of acne occurs on fat sites of skin of the face and body more often: forehead, chin, nose, back, and breast.

The change of the fat content of skin and the occurrence of acne, first of all, is connected with the increase in the quantity of sexual hormones in their body, and also with change of a metabolism. Unfortunately, at the occurrence of these symptoms, many teenagers start to feel ashamed, hesitate because of their appearance, or, young men may try to hide the psychological complexes, by starting to behave extremely aggressive.

As special attention is given to the appearance of acne, asis typical of all people in the pubertal period, it is necessary to be very attentive to this problem, too. Special attention and sensitivity with keenness of observation, in relation to teenagers and their appearance, should be shown by parents and teachers. The point is that many teenagers usually tend to hesitate to ask adults for the necessary information on this question, therefore the parents and teachers should show some willingness to render help and provide the necessary helpful information.

In order to provide good acne prevention it is necessary to keep to a diet designed to reflect the present condition of the skin - since our diet does affect our skin. For acne prevention, it is necessary to watch what we eat: avoid using plenty of salty, bitter, and fried foods, completely to exclude from the daily diet alcohol and aerated drinks, to increase the quantity of various vegetables, fruit and food fibers, and to reduce the use of sugar and flour products. Strictly adhering to these principles will permit you to adjust quite effectively the fat content of your skin - which is one of the principal causes of acne.

It is also necessary to note that except for the fat content of your skin, acne can provoke the pollution of skin pores by the bacteria which causes inflammatory reactions, reddening and hypostases of the skin. Therefore, for acne prevention it is necessary to carefully clean the skin of your face and body on a regular basis, using for this purpose special cosmetic medicines. There is a set of preparations made by the cosmetic companies that are intended specially for a young and problematic skin. However, superfluous and excessive drying of the skin by too much cleansing is also very harmful and can only worsen the situation.

For the skin that is more inclined to fat content and the formation of acne, the sun's rays are very useful. However, an overdose of ultraviolet light can lead to serious negative consequences. Therefore, while accepting solar baths it is
necessary to watch carefully and attentively the condition of the skin. One effective means of acne prevention is sea water. Bathing in the sea influences the problematic skin very favorably, normalizing the fatty balance of skin and rendering a strong bactericidal influence.

In cases where acne already exists, it is recommended to consult with the doctor-endocrinologist who can define superfluous or insufficient quantity of hormones and direct you into a proper therapy. Besides, the doctor-endocrinologist can also recommend some special acne prevention tips.

However, to cure acne effectively, or to provide acne prevention, the complex approach to this question is necessary. The harmonious and competent actions of experts, parents and certainly the teenager himself, will help to solve or prevent this serious problem quickly and without consequences.
