The history of synchronized swimming is pretty long and early synchronized swimming competition is recorded in the 19th century. At those times that sport was called artistic or pattern swimming. In fact, the origins of synchronized swimming exist in different sorts of courses of swimming safety that were developing at the time. So, it was all started as a sort of training for life saving.
