International Chess Federation unites many countries.

The Chess Olympiads have been held annually since the inception in 1927. However, the first so-known ?unofficial? Chess Olympiad took place in Paris, France three years earlier. The 2006 Chess Olympiad is scheduled to take place in Turin, Italy, and the next event of 2008 will be held in Dresden, Germany.
