Wool products developed during long history of wool

All types of wool are used in modern economies world wide. Textile mills offer a huge variety of wool products and manufactured not entirely out of sheep wool . They use such raw as lamb wool. Lamb wool is usually softer, finer and more delicate, so are things that are made of it. And, of course, there are exquisite wools like mohair, alpaca. Man made materials like Nylon, Lycra, Tergal - to name a few, strech fibers, that are blended with wool, that give new life to ancient cloth.
All populations have been using wool almost since the prehistoric times. The formost domestic animal, that was breeded for sheep wool, was a sheep. It was a principal animal in wool history. But then people mastered the craft of making wool from other animals' fleeces. Out of lamb wool, for example, were made finest wool fibers and best wool products.

Great number of production methods and technologies of making of all sorts of wool products were introduced during a long history of wool industry development. Craftsmen used to manufacture all kinds of rugs, carpets and curtains out of sheep wool.Different wool products could be made, of course, out of different wools. Raw wool, that came from different regions, had different qualities and properties. Wool from higher mountain regions was considered to be the best one. Over a period, raw wool from Tibet region, for instance, became very expensive, and it was the chocist wool for making fabrics.

Exquisite garments for European royalties were made out of above mentioned oriental wool. High quality wool products are made of raw wool from Australian continent and Latin America Andes. Sheep that are bred in Australia and New Zeeland give probably best raw wool in the world. And raw wool quality depends, of course, on the breeds of sheep, so there are many different wool producers that offer wool of different sheep. Textile industry is the biggest single consumer of wool yarn out of which any kind of clothing can be made: from very durable coats able to withstand bad weather, to most delicate shirts. Because new wool is not cheap, regenerated wool fabrics are videly produced by Italian wool mills in Prato for cheap industrial garments' manufacturing. Apparel industries are not unique users of wool products. Those products have other industrial applications too.Insulation in the construction industry is another great field of its use.

Organic wool blended with artificial fibers, mineral wool,- result in wool products, that are in use in automanufacturing, in outfits production, that make protection garments for people enployed in hasardous jobs. To be more competitive on the market, fabrics producing companies embark on research of precious fibers and yarns, such as wool merinos, silk, fine cotton. More research on blends of these with viscose and high-tech fibers: a textile experimentation that gets new effects of warp and weft as well as of finishing. Research on weaves for the use of jacquard looms, what gives a strong visual impact to new types of fabrics. Yarn-dyed for a deep effect; warm shades, fluid handle, effects in the weave, fine nubs, melange, strech, overcheck and plain check. Treated fabrics. Finishing treatments include: vintage effects, treatment of jeans in denim and other fibers. Every kind of treatment capable of giving fabrics a "different" look: leather, nabuk, suede: also coated and waxed looks; all the imitations of fur. Exclusive "Diamond" finishing in diamond powder: bright but not glittering. Enzyme treatments for barely perceptible velvety, worn handle; antibacterial treatment; water-proofing, stain resistant treatment. Finish in waxy silicone. Working with wools may become one's favourite pastime, one's hobby. Clothes sewing from wool fabrics at home,or just a simple rugs weaving from wool yarn - can be a fun.
